Fun-Filled Christmas Party Games Young Children Will Love Playing
There are countless options when you plan Christmas party games for young children. If you take time to properly plan for the games, the kids will have a safe and fun time.
Candy Cane Relay Game
There are two teams with a candy cane relay. Four candy canes are given to each team. Make sure you have some extra candy canes on hand in case they break. The kid running has the candy canes between their fingers with hook of the cane hanging over them. The thumbs should not be used so the candy canes carefully perched between the fingers.
The children have to run to their teammates and trade the candy canes by only using their fingers. The teammate runs to the other end and does the same thing. The game is over when only one team has candy canes that did not drop to the floor.
Santa Says
The old game called "Simon Says" is a classic kids favorite. The holiday version is Santa Says Game, with Santa giving commands to the players instead of Simon. Just like Simon Says, Santa says to dance or Santa say to jump up and down. Lastly, you don't include the "Santa says" part to fool the kids.
Christmas Freeze Dance Game
Play your own Christmas freeze dance with kids to celebrate the holiday season. Put on Christmas songs while the kids dance around. When the music is shut off, all the kids must stop.
Frosty The Snowman Christmas Party Game
Create a big cutout of Frosty from cardboard. Cut a hole in Frosty's tummy for a snowball toss. To create snowballs, put marshmallows in plastic bags or use foam balls from the craft store. Have the players take a step back and toss snowballs into the belly of Frosty. The one that wins the prize is the player that gets 3 snowballs in the belly.
One last thing — Imagine the look on your child’s face if they received a personalized Santa letter from the North Pole. It's a gift that makes a strong and lasting impression.
