Know The Real Message Of Christmas With Christmas Greeting Cards
I’m used to receiving and giving gifts every Christmas. Nevertheless, I wish to keep it simpler yet more special this coming Christmas. Often we fail to realize the real meaning of Christmas. Everytime I go to stores in the busy holiday week, I see people running around carrying grocery bags or purchasing a lot of Christmas cards.
I’m curious if people we bring gifts to actually value the things we give to them. I’m asking this question because I’m pretty guilty of merely stacking gifts somewhere and not giving them a second gaze after getting them. Naturally, I show people how appreciative I am, but I just want to make it totally different this time.
My idea is to hand out personalised Christmas cards which are not really costly once you simply allow your imaginative mind do the work. I do not mind recycling unused greeting cards last year. If you’ve got some of them, I advise you to make use of them.
I’m not really into giving cards in the past but I think everything is going to change this Holiday season mainly because I realised that I am spending too much, giving things to people, most of whom aren’t truly satisfied with what they receive. I feel the same way though when somebody gives me coffee mugs or big tees or hats that I couldn’t use anyway.
I have likewise figured out that there is a better way to use cash this Holiday season. Sharing to charitable organizations might just be an option. I think a person doesn’t need to be a millionaire to donate to charity. The amount of money I spend to purchase things for people may be best spent for donations. I guess my close friends would understand and many of them wouldn’t mind as well.
Spending time with my loved ones will be perfect. I didn’t spend quality time with them last Holiday season since I was a lot more preoccupied with gathering close friends and hanging out that I can’t even recall if I had slept in my room. A lot of my friends visit their hometowns but not always to go out with their family. What about making a difference this Christmas?
Have more time for your family this particular Christmas. Participate in the putting up of the Christmas tree, I find it genuinely fun. Likewise, participate in preparing food for the holiday dinner. This thing, too, is fun.
I was unable to treat mother and father the year before. I will perhaps go along with them to a spa or eat dinner with them someplace. I don’t feel material gifts will be the memorable ones. At times, the moments you spend with your family and friends are more cherished.
There’s no problem with ignoring the tradition. If you feel it is time to transform things, do so. In my case, I’d still purchase some Christmas greeting cards because there are a number of people who’d be truly thrilled to get one.
