Artificial Christmas trees: Environment friendly way to celebrate holidays




Everybody’s excited about the coming of Christmas. Since it is just around the corner, a huge part of the population is busy readying for their Christmas celebration. Whether others have made early preparations or will rush to the malls on the twenty fourth for last-minute shopping, each individual has a special way in making Christmas unforgettable. People become creative when it comes to sprucing up their homes for the Christmas season.

For many individuals, Christmas seems incomplete without having Christmas tree in their homes. Some people might even feel deprived having no Christmas tree at home. The Christmas tree has played a significant role in creating the Christmas atmosphere. The Christmas tree is a centerpiece since it has a way of attracting attention and bringing joy. Many people are often caught in this dilemma -buy a real Christmas tree or an artificial Christmas tree?

The great majority of the population today prefer the artificial Christmas tree because it’s simply affordable. Most of these Christmas trees are made up of hundred percent recycled plastic. Artificial Christmas trees are made from dyed goose feathers supported by wire branches, aluminum, PVC or Polyvinyl chloride plastic and brush brittles. Some resourceful people make their artificial Christmas trees and utilize scrap materials like wires, chains, handle bars, strings and some other stuff.

The widespread use of real pine trees leads to deforestation. The artificial Christmas trees were made to be concerned on this issue. The use of Artificial trees became a common practice during the late 20th century. Others asserted that it is more convenient, cheaper and reusable. This makes it a superb alternative for real Christmas trees.

With artificial Christmas trees, there are numerous varieties to choose from -green, white Christmas trees to red-themed Christmas trees. It is also flame-retardant, does not need thorough maintenance and could be kept for longer time.

For the environmentalist and natural Christmas tree growers, the use of Natural Christmas tree is more practical. They argue that artificial Christmas trees are not environmentally friendly since its is not made from recyclable materials.

Regardless if it’s natural or artificial Christmas tree, it must be remembered that Christmas does not count on how many Christmas decorations one has or how extravagant it cost since sharing is the real spirit of Christmas.
