One of the most recognized
symbols of America, Mickey Mouse and friends return to the screen in the
animated short Mickey's Christmas Carol. It's the same old classic Charles
Dickens story with an all star Disney cast. Uncle Scrooge McDuck is
appropriately enough Scrooge and is visited by his dead partner and 3 spirits
one night to remember the joys of Christmas. Mickey's Christmas Carol is not a
full-length movie and is one of three cartoons included on the DVD. Other
Disney cartoons include: The Small One (1978) and Pluto's Christmas Tree
(1952).
Nominated for an Academy Award (Short Film, Animated), Mickey's
Christmas Carol is one of the best classic Christmas cartoons and is great for
all generations.

No one loves the cold months better than acerbic fat
cat Garfield, who thrives on a bounty of junk food and traditional meals in the
delightful collection of musical-comedy TV specials Garfield Holiday
Celebrations. "Garfield's Halloween Adventure" finds the portly hero and
airhead-sidekick Odie the dog scrounging through owner Jon's attic to find
perfect costumes, then encountering ghosts and ghoulies that seem a tad
authentic. "Garfield's Thanksgiving" is a screwball special in which Jon
harasses veterinarian Liz into being his Turkey Day guest. Trouble is, Jon is
clueless about how to cook a big bird; fortunately, starving Garfield has the
good sense to call in Jon's spirited grandmother for a culinary rescue. Grandma
shows up, too, in "A Garfield Christmas," about a family get-together that
covers all the nice holiday stuff and, of course, lots of bickering, pouting,
and jealousy. As long as Garfield gets his Yuletide lasagna, however, all is

Night Before Christmas (1976)
Frosty, lonely at the North Pole, is
bent on keeping his famous promise to the kids that he'll be back again
someday, so when the news of a snowstorm in their town reaches him, he waddles
off. But once the belly-whopping's run its course, he's lonely again. The
children, hoping to salvage Frosty's stay with them, hit upon a solution:
they'll build Frosty a wife.
